With gas prices approaching $4 a gallon, every penny counts. The state Bureau of Petroleum routinely inspects the pumps at area gas stations. Search through the inspection reports of Lee and Collier county gas stations since July 1, 2005. Overall, less than 4 percent of the nearly 14,300 pumps have failed inspection, and many in favor of the consumer.
