Island Coast 35, Lakewood Ranch 14 (F): Island Coast’s Delmarick Pender had five carries for 120 yards in the first half, including TD runs of 70 and 54 yards. Teammate DE/TE Aaron Lynch, one of the area’s top recruits, sacked the Lakewood Ranch QB in the end zone, forcing a fumble that his teammate recovered for the Gators third score.

Riverdale 28, Baker 21 (F): In the first quarter of play, Riverdale’s junior varsity team defeated Baker’s JV 8-7. The varsity teams took the field in the second quarter, playing to a 7-all tie at halftime. In that quarter, Raiders QB Jeff Colton was 6-of-8 passing for 77 yards and a TD. Colton also had three rushes for 24 more yards.
