With two minutes left in the first half, a stretcher is being brought out for Dunbar senior Caleb Parker.
The 6-foot, 300-pound offensive lineman went into a dogpile during a rushing play and did not recover. Parker’s helmet is off and medical personnel continue to assist him midfield. Parker appears to be conscious and is able to move his limbs.
A coach for the South team said he believed Parker’s leg is broken. The Dunbar Tiger left the field on a stretcher and will be taken to nearby Lee Memorial Hospital for further evaluation.
