Lehigh played an almost perfect first half to take a 9-0 lead into the locker room. The Lightning defense stifled Riverdale’s run game and when QB Nathan Gahafer went back to pass, he receievd heavy pressure.
The Raiders’ Jeremy Edwards was sacked for a safety by Lehigh’s Korey Robinson and Robinson also later recovered an Edwards fumble in the second quarter. That helped set up a Darius Hogan 32-yard TD run
Riverdale did have a great chance to score on a fourth-and-3 play late int he second qaurter as Gahafer hit WR Kyle Waldrop in stride at the Lehigh 3, but he dropped the ball.
