Ahhh Joker ... I remember not so long ago, Appalachian State defeating Mighty Michigan and a "Lynch" blocked the winning FG attempt. D2 vs D1 ... Surprising Result ???

Players end up at different colleges for all sorts of reasons. To me what level or division a player plays at is irrelevant, it's their God given ability that matters. Ben Roethlisberger (Miami, OH) ... Marques Colston (Hofstra) ... Austin Miles (Monmouth) ... Joe Flacco (Delaware)... Antonio Gates (Kent St.) ... Kurt Warner (Northern Iowa) ... may have never been considered if "we" used the same philosophy.

Not sure about the Watkins total yardage question. Of course you have your opinion and I have mine.

I do know the Lynch family and have seen Cory, Calan, Colton and Colby play. The Lynch family is a great family and their boys are fine young men. I'm not being negative about Colton and what he accomplished, I am just stating the opinion that the tougher the competition, the more difficult it would be to duplicate the performance.

No one ever said, and if you go back and read my previous posts that Colton is not a great player and would star at any school, as would his brother Cory. The ONLY thing I questioned is IF Colton were at a larger school, playing against better competition, he would not have the number of total yards he does. As I stated above, if Watkins does not have 2878, do you really believe that Colton would?

Colton was 1st team Offensive Player and 1st team QB in THE TRI-COUNTY AREA voted on by all the Area Coaches. And was a close 2nd for MVP they had to vote twice because there was a tie. These things were also said about his brother Corey,he is now playing in the NFL. And Joker if you truly knew the Lynch family and watched Colton play you would not be so negative.

You are right, we will agree to disagree. It is also easy to assume it would happen at a larger school vs ECS since it will never happen. Logically, it is like comparing a D-2 star at N. Alabama then playing at a big time D-1 like Florida. He will still be a good player, but not as dominate like he did at the D-2 level. Colton may put up similar stats as Watkins, but to realistically think he would put up the 2878 at the larger school is not realistic. Watkins is a pretty good player as evidenced by his MVP of District 16, U of F commit and Army All American. If Watkins has not put up 2878, what makes you think that Colton Would?
As you said, it is a great debate that we will not agree on, and like our opinions, our comprehension skills were attained at different places. I owe mine to the University of Miami.
Good luck to the Sentinels in the playoffs

You can include Colby Lynch & Jarrett Foshee in those "main guys" categories as well. Colton distributes the ball very well to those WR's.

Regardless ... You're speculating whether the numbers would be the same or not, and that's easy to do when you know it will never take place.

Like I said, we'll agree to disagree. I think Colton would have put up similar numbers up wherever he would have played.

Great Debate Though ... See, My Comprehension Skills aren't as bad as you thought they were. I owe it all to the University Of Florida. :)
